Position Summary

The Epic Physician Trainer is focused on improving the efficiencies and skills of USF Physicians through in clinic education and in partnership with Clinical leadership, departments and groups. This seasoned trainer will leverage their clinical experience and expertise to conduct individualized physician training sessions, performance data monitoring and evaluation and departmental workflow analysis to meet current and ongoing organizational objectives and to promote professional growth and development.

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent professional job experience.

Experience Requirements:
—EpicCare Ambulatory Certification or Proficiency preferred, but not required.
—EpicCare Ambulatory Credentialed trainer with direct provider training experience accepted.
—3 + years of direct provider training is required.
—Experience in Clinical Education and Training methodologies.
—Excellent facilitation abilities: instructor lead training, 1:1 training & conflict resolution
—Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
—Ability to analyze and interpret data and present fact-based summaries and reports
—Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Business Skill Requirements: Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills required. Ability to resolve conflict and facilitate a team approach with faculty and staff and patients. Ability to manage multi-site health care support services. Ability to lead complex projects.
Level 1 Background check will be completed.

Work Schedule Summary

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Percentage 75%

• Partners with Clinical and Department leaders to identify training objectives and goals
• Identifies departmental workflow and process improvements in partnership with Clinical Leadership
• Analyze and monitor proficiency and provider use data to construct specialized training sessions and evaluate training needs
• Facilitate engaging and informative 1:1 training sessions for new and existing USF Physicians

Percentage 15%

• Utilize methods, measurements and tools to evaluate effectiveness of learning goals
• Perform assessment of clinical learning workflow processes, identifying gaps and need for process changes
• Partner with others engaged in improvement opportunities to develop and implement resources and tools for Physicians

Percentage 5%

• Help oversee residents/fellows involved in Epic optimization initiatives.

Percentage 5%

• Perform other duties as assigned
